Making Lemonade out of a lemony situation

I can’t believe I did this!  I wanted to get to work early at the Dr in order to get caught up on work that piled up from taking time off for our son’s graduation.

I had everything laid out and ready to go.  Since I was going to work and then straight back home after, I changed my mind about what I was going to grab along and simply took my tiny purse so I would have my wallet with driver’s license and nothing else. 

Well…..as time passed while working…..I realized that both my breakfast and my lunch were in my backpack!!!  It’s not like it was much.  Basically, I keep yummy almond & blueberry meal bars stocked up in my backpack.  We don’t get a lunch break so the bars are perfect.  Besides being good tasting, they are also nutritious, gluten-free, the perfect combo of protein and fiber, and totally discreet to eat while at my work station.

So here….I am at work early, the morning clock is ticking away….no breakfast and no lunch!  What’s this mama to do?!?


I look around in my desk.  Bingo!  I have a jar of Organic Greens Booster!  Perfect opportunity for

me to do an experiment.    I heat up some water in the little electric tea kettle.  Fill up my 24 oz. shaker cup with 5 heaping scoops of organic greens and top off with hot (not boiling) water….and shake it up real good! 

I would call it vegetable broth but since we have the vegetable fiber in there too, it is somewhere between a broth and a soup! 

  • Broccoli

  • Spinach

  • Kale

  • 1 cup of organic veggies per scoop…..and here I did 5 HEAPING scoops!

To my surprise

………The experiment worked!

So glad that I decided to focus on finding a solution instead of focusing on the problem.
